What’s in your water… and how do you get rid of unwanted particles?

In the Kawarthas and surrounding area, the main water issues are hard water, iron and sulphur (rotten egg smell). Hard water contains dissolved calcium and magnesium. These deposits will cause scaling and build-up on pipes, fixtures and appliances. A water softener will help improve water by removing the calcium and magnesium, exchanging them for sodium.
